We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Auberry Funeral Home & Cremation Services
James “Jimmy” Hartley Skaggs, 73, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Hartley Skaggs and Bertie White Skaggs, was born June 29th, 1948, in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021, at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Jimmy united in marriage to Beverley Corbett Skaggs on April 17th, 1971, who survives.
He professed his faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a wonderful, loving husband and father. Jimmy worked as a mechanic and was a former employee at Firestone and Advance Auto in Campbellsville. In his spare time, he loved working with wood. One piece of advice he left for any man getting married was “always say yes ma’am and no ma’am and know when to say it.”
Besides his loving wife of 50 years, Beverley, Jimmy is survived by:
One daughter and son-in-law: Kimberley Farmer and her husband, Billy, of Campbellsville.
One son and daughter-in-law: Brandon Skaggs and his wife, Melanie, of Lexington.
Three grandchildren: Justin Ford of Campbellsville; William James Skaggs of Lexington; and Sadie Skaggs of Lexington.
One great-granddaughter: Aislin Falucskai Ford of Elizabethtown.
Three brothers: George Skaggs and his wife, Wanda, of Greensburg; Melvin Skaggs and his wife, Gwen of Campbellsville; and Jerry Skaggs of Campbellsville.
One sister: Sherry Daniel and her husband, James, of North Carolina.
Along with several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

FUNERAL: Monday, December 27th, 2021, at 12pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
Burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
