Betty Cox Obituary

Betty Lou Ford Cox, 84, of Elkhorn, Kentucky, daughter of the late Willard Ford and Minnie Jewell (Ward) Ford was born August 6th, 1936, in Taylor County and departed this life peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 6th, 2021, at her home in Elkhorn, Kentucky.

She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Feathersburg Church of God of Elkhorn, Kentucky.  She was an active member of Feathersburg Church of God Women WCG. Betty was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom of thirty plus years as a machine operator.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was a devoted supporter of her family.  She truly enjoyed cooking for her entire family and church family.

Betty united in marriage to Harold L. Cox on June 25th,1955, and preceded her in death on March 9th, 1999. 

Survived by one son and two daughters:  Tony and wife Shirley Cox; Cindy and husband Larry Cox; and Kim and husband Rodney Cox., all of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Six grandchildren:  Kay Cox and wife Dee of Mt. Sterling; Alex Cox and wife Ashley of Elkhorn; Beth Auker  and husband Jason of Elkhorn; Dusty Cox (Christy) of Elkhorn; Eathan  Cox of Elkhorn; and Jewell Cox of Elkhorn.

Three great-grandchildren:  Lance Auker, Kelsi Auker, and Noah Cox, all of Elkhorn.

One sister:  Sue Cox of Elkhorn.

Along with many other family, friends, and relatives.

Besides her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by one great-grandchild:  Jackson Dean Cox

VISITATION:  Wednesday, June 9th, 2021, from 5pm-8pm EST, at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville, Kentucky.

FUNERAL:  Thursday, June 10th, 2021, at 1pm EST, at Feathersburg Church of God in Elkhorn, Kentucky.  Visitation at the church on Thursday, June 10th, 2021, at 9am EST. till time of funeral.

Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville in charge of arrangements and services.

Burial to follow in Callahan Cemetery of Elkhorn, Kentucky.  Bro. Alex Cox, Bro. Bob Langlois, and Bro. Chris Copher will be officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Hosparus of Green River and Feathersburg Church of God Women WCG in honor of Mrs. Betty Lou Cox.  Donations can be made at the funeral home.
