Wanda Bishop

Wanda Carol Bishop, 84, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Murrel Chappel and Mary Katherine Reed Chappel was born March 18th, 1940 in Knifley, and departed this life on Thursday, December 5th, 2024 at Taylor Regional Hospital.

Wanda united in marriage to Mr. Everett Garnett Bishop on October 15th, 1958. He preceded her in death on May 7th, 2006.

Wanda loved her dogs. She enjoyed walking. Wanda professed faith in Christ and was a member of East Campbellsville Church of God.

Wanda is survived by:

Three children: Genean Lane and her husband, Barry; Shelly Bishop; and Barry Bishop and his wife, Rebecca, of Campbellsville

Seven grandchildren: Chris Pruyear and his wife, Andrea; Deena Collings; Sara Bolden and her husband, Ben; Heather Ferrell; Jared Reynolds and his wife, Evelyn; Shannon Gabehart and her husband, Travis; Chance Bishop and his wife Brittany, all of Campbellsville

18 great-grandchildren

One brother, Dean Chappel and his wife, Wilma, of Canton, IL

Two sisters-in-law: Mary Lois Powell of Campbellsville and Charlene Chappel of Colorado

Wanda was preceded in death by:

Two brothers and one sister: W.F. Chappel, Fontella Tucker, and Terry Chappel

VISITATION: Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at East Campbellsville Church of God.

VISITATION: Thursday, December 12th, 2024 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am at East Campbellsville Church of God.

FUNERAL: Thursday, December 12th, 2024 at 10:00 am at East Campbellsville Church of God with burial to follow in Chappel Cemetery. Rev. Tom Carnahan will be officiating. Auberry Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may be in the form of donations to funeral expenses and may be made at the funeral home.
