Thomas W. Kennedy, 65, of Campbellsville, son of the late David and Marvelle Jerde Kennedy was born May 5th, 1959 in DeKalb Co, IL, and departed this life on Friday, December 6th, 2024 in Louisville, KY surrounded by his family.
After graduating from Dekalb High School, he worked as a carpenter for 35 years with Carpenters Union 790. He became a father of four then found himself a father of six when he married Theresa Barley Kennedy on December 30th, 2015. She survives. He was well-known across town and was friends with just about everyone. He could always be found supporting his kids at all their sporting events, by his partner in crime’s side, Sean Sheridan, fixing just about anything, and his favorite pastime of fishing with his best buddies, Scott Beard and Ronald Knutson. He later became a grandfather of 8, which he loved and cherished. Whether you called him son, brother, husband, dad, uncle, grandpa, or friend, he could always be counted on and he will truly be missed by all. He was a hero in our life and he became a hero to others with his gifts of life through organ donation.

Six children: Randi Ackland and her husband, Phillip, of Japan; Joshua Dillabough and his wife, Cara, of Franklin, IL; Kayleigh Jones and her husband, Bradley, of Sandwich, IL; Anthony Dillabough and his wife, Bree of Dixon, IL; Kristen Cudmore and her husband, Jordan, of Cheyenne, WY; and Thomas William Kennedy II and his wife, Alexis, of Campbellsville
Eight grandchildren
His sister, Carrie Valencia and her husband, Jorge, of Davey, FL
His favorite mother-in-law, Connie (Baba) Prichard of Prophetstown, IL
Many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends

VISITATION: Thursday, December 12th, 2024 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
