Helena Atwood

Mrs. Helena Atwood of Merrimac, daughter of the late Wilburn and Nettie Lowe Gunter was born February 19, 1945 and departed this life at 8:43 A.M., Friday, May 15, 2020, in Campbellsville at age 75. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Atwood was a homemaker and loved her flowers and all her animals.

She united in marriage to Chester Atwood in 1983. He preceded her in death on July 14th, 1999. She is survived by one sister, Audrey Burress of Elkhorn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, John Gunter Sr., and a sister Mary Frances Eason.

A private Funeral Service will be held at Auberry – Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home

Burial: Merrimac Church Cemetery.
