Edward "Eddie" Krug

Edward “Eddie” Krug, 92, of Knifley, son of the late Edgar Leroy Krug and Mattie Phillips was born October 5th, 1932 in Rantoul, IL, and departed this life on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 at Taylor Regional Hospital.

Eddie united in marriage to Ms. Kay Carney on January 15th, 1972. She survives.

Eddie worked as a stone mason for many years and completed many projects in his career. Some of his notable local builds are the entrances to Campbellsville University and Hidden Meadows. He also worked on bridges and built the Central Plaza shopping center. He built the Knifley Fire Department and served as one of its founding members. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Eddie served his country honorably in the Air Force. Eddie professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.

Besides his wife, Eddie is survived by:

Three children: Diana Lynn Stiles and her husband, Cary, of Campbellsville; Karen Denise Cook and her husband, Robert, of Texas; and Rochelle Krug Sizemore and her husband, Fred, of Danville

Special granddaughter, Makayla Grace Sizemore of Danville; and five more grandchildren: Keith Krug of Manvel, TX; Christina Stiles of Houston, TX; Michelle Stiles Davis and her husband, Will, of the country of Georgia; Chance Elliott and his wife, Jennifer, of Lake Jackson, TX; and Rylin Pratt of Houston, TX

One great-grandchild, Archie Spacek of Lake Jackson, TX

One brother and one sister: Ronnie Allen of Campbellsville; and Carol Lasko of Carroll, Ohio

Several nieces and nephews

A host of other family and friends

Eddie was preceded in death by:

One son, Edward Anthony Krug on September 9th, 2012

VISITATION: Sunday, January 12th, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

FUNERAL: Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Bryan Montgomery will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, the Wounded Warrior Project, or your favorite charity. These donations may be made at the funeral home.
