David Franklin Bladen, Jr.

Campbellsville

David Franklin Bladen, Jr., 64, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late David Franklin Bladen and Margaret Bladen (whom survives) was born June 29th, 1956, in Cheverly, Maryland and departed this life peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 17th, 2021, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

David professed his faith in Christ and was of Baptist faith.  He moved to Kentucky and lived on Barney School Road, where he enjoyed his farm and farm animals.  He especially loved hatching and raising his chickens.

He united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Bladen (whom survives) on August 16th, 1975, in Forestville, Maryland.  Along, with his loving sister-in-law, Mary Simpson of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Survived by his mother:  Margaret Ridgeway Bladen of Bradsfordsville, Kentucky.

Two sons:  David Kelley of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Dana Bladen and wife Cynthia, of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Two daughters:  Lisa Pfeiffer and fiance', Michael Rigsbee of Four Oaks, North Carolina and Mary Downs and husband Jay of Four Oaks, North Carolina.

Fourteen grandchildren:  Linda Kelley of Pennsylvania; David Kelley, Jr., of Maryland; Rebecca Tamez of Campbellsville; Dana Bladen, Jr., of Campbellsville; David Bladen of Campbellsville; George (Russell) Bladen of Campbellsville; Johnny Downs of Four Oaks, North Carolina; Sierra Downs of Four Oaks, North Carolina; Dakota Pfeiffer of Four Oaks, North Carolina; Bud Pfeiffer of Four Oaks, North Carolina; Jade Elder of Lebanon, Kentucky; Peyton Elder of Lebanon, Kentucky; Olivia Elder of Lebanon, Kentucky; and Audrey Elder of Lebanon, Kentucky.

Eight great grandchildren:  Bradley Haines, Scarlet Haines, and Mamie Lynn McClaughlin all of Pennsylvania; David Kelley III, George Kelley and Melanie Kelley all of Maryland; and Roman Tamez and Adelina Tamez of  Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Two sisters:  Diane Burger of Lusby, Maryland and Pamela Templer of Eastern Shore, Maryland.

VISITATION:  Monday, June 21st, 2021, from 5pm-8pm EST, at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville, Kentucky.

FUNERAL:  Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021, at 11am EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Burial to follow on Barney School Road in Campbellsville on the family farm.
