Carlotta (Corky) Mcbride

Tuesday, December 22, 2020, Carlotta McBride (Corky) of Elkhorn, Kentucky, passed away at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Carlotta, 68, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 28th, 1952.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Barbara Oliver of Indianapolis, Indiana.  Carlotta leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Kenneth McBride (Ken).  They were married on July 10th, 1970, in Westfield, Indiana.  Before moving to Elkhorn, Kentucky eight years ago, Carlotta and Kenneth lived in Anderson, Indiana.

Carlotta was a member of the Feathersburg Church of God in Elkhorn, Kentucky.  She graduated from Ball State University in 1997, with a degree in nursing.  You could always find Carlotta busy sewing, knitting, scrapbooking and hiking. But she loved gardening, fishing (especially blue gill), and decorating. Carlotta never met a stranger.  She had a gift of making people feel like lifelong friends.

Survived by one son, twin daughters and son-in-law: David McBride of Anderson, Indiana: Andrea McBride of Jacksonville, Florida; and Lanore and Jeremy Haley of Yulee, Florida.

Survived by two brothers and two sisters:  Ronnie Oliver of Indiana; Vanessa Castetter of Alabama; Chuck Oliver of Indiana; and Lori Oliver of Indiana.

Survived by four grandchildren: Devin McBride, Kayla McBride, Colton Haley, and Coralyn Haley.

Survived by three great-grandchildren:  Sam, Reighly, and Charlie.

Carlotta has chosen cremation, followed by a celebration of life given by the family at a later date.  Auberry Funeral Home and Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.

The family has asked for expressions of sympathy to be taken in the form of donations to the Feathersburg Church of God in Elkhorn, Kentucky.   Expressions of sympathy can be made at Auberry Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
